📑 Terms & Conditions – Yatrika Scooty & Bike Rentals
These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the rental of Scooties and Motorbikes (“Vehicle”) from Yatrika. By renting a vehicle from us, you (“Renter”/“Customer”) acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Eligibility & Driving License

A valid driving license issued under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (India) is mandatory for renting and operating any vehicle.

Only the person(s) whose name is on the rental agreement and who provides a valid license may operate the vehicle. Sub-leasing or allowing unauthorized persons to drive is strictly prohibited.

Customers must be at least 18 years old to rent a two-wheeler in India.
2. Booking, Security Deposit & Documents

Customers must present a government-approved ID proof (Aadhar Card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.) along with their driving license at the time of booking.

A refundable security deposit may be required. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the vehicle after inspection for damages, fines, or unpaid dues.

Yatrika reserves the right to decline bookings if documents are invalid, incomplete, or suspected to be fraudulent.
3. Vehicle Condition & Use

All vehicles are inspected, maintained, and provided in good working condition. Customers are encouraged to check the vehicle before taking delivery.

Customers are responsible for:

Refueling during the rental period.

Safe and lawful riding in accordance with the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and traffic rules.

Avoiding reckless driving, stunt riding, off-roading, or overloading the vehicle.

Smoking, carrying hazardous items, or illegal activities using the vehicle are strictly prohibited.
4. Responsibilities & Liabilities of the Renter

The renter is fully responsible for any traffic fines, challans, tolls, penalties, or violations during the rental period.

In case of damage, theft, or accident, the renter is liable for repair/replacement costs, unless otherwise covered by insurance.

Yatrika shall not be held responsible for personal injuries, loss of property, or third-party claims arising during the rental.
5. Return Policy & Late Fees

Vehicles must be returned at the agreed location, date, and time.

Late returns may attract additional hourly/day charges as per Yatrika’s rental policy.

If a renter wishes to extend the rental period, prior approval from Yatrika is required.
6. Insurance & Damage Policy
-
Vehicles may be covered under third-party insurance as per Indian law. However, customers are responsible for damages beyond insurance coverage, including negligence or misuse.

In the event of an accident:

The renter must immediately inform Yatrika and local authorities.
-
An FIR may be required depending on the severity of the incident.
-
Repair charges, downtime, and related costs will be borne by the renter.

7. Termination of Rental & Right to Refuse

Yatrika reserves the right to refuse or terminate rental services if:
-
A renter is found intoxicated, underage, or without a valid license.
-
The vehicle is being misused, abused, or used for illegal purposes.
-
Rental terms are violated.
-

In such cases, no refund will be issued, and deposits may be forfeited.
8. Legal Jurisdiction

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed under the laws of India.

Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.

By renting a Scooty or Bike from Yatrika, you acknowledge that riding a two-wheeler involves risk. Yatrika is not liable for:

Accidents, injuries, or death caused during the rental period.

Loss of personal belongings or third-party liabilities.
-
Mechanical failures caused by negligence or misuse.
The renter accepts full responsibility for their safety, compliance with laws, and the condition of the vehicle during the rental period.
